And on this day…, ‘t was June 1944,
Otto and his band of Brüder came upon the remote farm of pappy Paschal. In a shed, some distance from the house, under a worn-out tarp they discovered a dented copper still. With only little pressure they squeezed the information out of the old man about the whereabouts of the Schnapps. Soon the band of Brüder were liberating the content out of the first of several demijohns and burst into rowdy songs.
Now, pappy Paschal’s bathtub gin was exactly that!
So… in the morning… a bunch of very pale Brüder woke up, with a hideous headache, dazed and nauseous, suffering from the worst hangover EVER. One of them was lying outside. As he held his head in misery he could barely make out the silhouettes of approaching men… clad in green uniforms…
He uttered : “Hey… Jungs!… Maybe zose AMI’s have Aspirin for us…”
