Battleground Set II – Harbor & Hills Scenarios
Battleground Set II – Harbor & Hills Scenarios posté le [03/06/2019] à 01:07

Is there an actual explanation of the scenarios from this battleground set?

Looking at the picture at the back, I have some (very little) idea of what they imply but I can't figure out the scenarios.

I'll have a look when I get home tonight. If I remember correctly, there's no text, only images. I'll see if I can figure it out again.

Actually, it is not that hard.

You have player 'A' and 'B'. Both have their deployment zone or entry markers shown on the map.

Below the map is number of points for each player and max. number of stars. 'A' may enter the map from turn 1.

There are also 3 trapdoors which must be placed according to the map. To turn a trapdoor over (open it) it costs 1 movement (blue arrow with 1).

When you find trapdoor B or A it's nothing but the stairs lead to the room with objective.

To determine the winner (the golden cup) you just follow the icons. You look at it from player 'A' point of view. 2 objectives is a win, 0 objective is player B win and 1 objective is draw (or nothing)

And that's all there is to it… just a bunch of icons but together they represent the absolute minimum rules for a scenario.

And the second scenario is even more straightforward. You get starting armies, the turn track and the requirements to win the scenario.

Hope this helps

Thank you for the explanation. It does make sense now. I would assume that for scenario 1 a n infantry unit would have to carry objective 1 discovery to objective 2 on the boat.

Just use the rules for objectives from the rulebook.

(and you will find out objectives can't be carried around only 'controlled')

Looking for an empty basement and then getting on the boat it’s kind of lame.

I think that a more fun way to play this mission will be to plant an explosive or to discover some kind of object and then deliver it to the boat.

You're always free to build your own scenarios, Slyfox!

Remember that the scenario rules were explained through icons, so it is a very simple scenario.

But, as bart said, change the scenario rules to whatever suits you best and create your own.
